Next Gen: Dialogues on Urban Change 1

In recent years, the definition of health has evolved beyond just physical well-being to equally emphasize the mental and social aspects. In a post-pandemic society, the importance of all three facets of health is even more apparent, along with the influence of the built environment on individual well-being. But has it changed anything?

In this session the next generation explores how the neighborhoods can play a crucial role in our individual health by interfering in our daily lives. How can architectural practices increase the health of a city, how are the aspects of urban health different across generations, and what needs to change in the public space to increase the health of the citizens?

Students and recent graduates lead urgent dialogues at a series of events during the World Congress of Architects Copenhagen 2023 during sessions organized by Danish Architecture Center. In these sessions the young voices are not only brought to the table but will be joining the conversations and taking the lead in crucial dialogues on urban change.

This session is held Monday, July 3, 12:15-12:45 at the Next Gen Stage, Hall E.
