UIA Friendly and Inclusive Spaces Award

Be inspired by four Award Winning Projects and 5 which received Honourable Mentions in the 2023 Friendly and Inclusive Spaces Awards, presented by their architects. These exciting, innovative, and sustainable projects from across the globe are truly wonderful examples of projects as diverse as a village lounge and a tea leaf market in China, a forest park in Bangkok, a mausoleum in Bangladesh, a cathedral in the UK, a bridge in Malaysia and a hospital in Ireland.

Two research projects will also be presented – creating autism friendly universities, and early childhood development and its relationship to the design of cities. The session will also have a short address by John Zeisel (USA) dementia care expert and author of Inquiry by Design.
