Ada Y. S. Fung

Professor, Past President, Hong Kong Institute of Architects

Professor Ada Y. S. Fung is an active member in the Architectural field as well as in the construction industry in Hong Kong. In her former career as Deputy Director of Housing until end December 2017, Ada headed the Development & Construction Division (with over 2,500 staff) of the Housing Department. She promoted design innovation in all dimensions, as she has good track records to champion many arenas, such as, sustainable development, community engagement, corporate social responsibility and project partnering.

Ada has made tremendous contribution in a Public Sector Client/Developer and Government Bureau as a civil servant throughout her career for more than 33 years. She has received the International Passive & Low Energy Architecture (PLEA) Award in 2018.

She is Honorary Professor of the Faculty of Architecture, & Adjunct Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Hong Kong, External Examiner of the School of Architecture, Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a Member of Sustainable Development Committee of Hong Kong Green Building Council.

She is former Director and Board Secretary of World Green Building Council, former Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council, Past President of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, Past Chairperson of Architects Registration Board, HKSAR.
