Anne Kathrine Frandsen

Deputy Head of Department, Senior Researcher, University of Aalborg

Anne Kathrine is an architect, Ph.D., and Senior Researcher at the Department for the Built Environment at Aalborg University. Her research focuses on user experiences of architectural quality and how architectural quality including sensory qualities and usability are designed and adhered throughout the building process. She has specialized knowledge on both design and building processes and their interaction with applied tools and knowledge bases.

For the last 10 years, she has focused on inclusive architecture – specifically the role of architecture in ensuring inclusive environments for all which are usable, inviting and sensory stimulating. She has led the Master’s program for Inclusive Architecture at the Department for the Built Environment at Aalborg University.
