Dagný Valgeirsdóttir is an Assistant professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), based in the department DTU Entrepreneurship and DTU Skylab, which is the innovation hub of DTU. Dagný has worked in the field of co-creation and user involvement since 2014 and is responsible for teaching ‘up and coming’ engineers at DTU those practices in her master course ‘Staging co-creation and creativity’.
Dagný’s research has primarily focused on co-creation and creativity and she applies her findings in her teaching to support her students in becoming excellent facilitators and experts in involving users when necessary in their future work. She also works to promote an inclusive mindset at the university under the mandate ‘Technology Leaving No One Behind’ to provide opportunities and support to make inclusive design thinking a natural part of engineering new sustainable technological solutions at DTU.
