Darius NDUWAMUNGU is a Managing Director of DC Studios Ltd; an Architectural Firm based in Kigali Rwanda and at the same time the Chairman of Board of Practice / Architects’ Chapter in Rwanda Institute of Architects (RIA).
In October 2021, he was appointed the member of the International Union of Architects (UIA) Work Programme on Public Spaces as the contact person to RIA. This is serving to enhancing, advocating about the need and use of public spaces in Rwanda as one of the most densely populated countries in Africa with an annual growth rate of 2.86%, and its capital City Kigali is the fastest growing City in East Africa Region. It is in this occasion that Rwanda Capital City managed to accomplish 2 public space projects such as IMBUGA CITY WALK and NYANDUNGU URBAN WETLAND ECO-TOURISM PARK
Prior to that, earlier in 2021 he was appointed a Board Member of the Board of Practice and Ethics at the East African Institute of Architects (EAIA) by Rwanda Institute of Architects, where he is serving with other leaders to improve free movement of the practice within the East African Community Country members. These countries are Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Congo and South Sudan.
