Deniz Incedayi

Deniz İncedayı graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Architecture in İstanbul in 1986. Since 1986 she is teaching at the same university. In the academic area, she works on the social and cultural concerns in the architectural design process. She published several books, many articles, papers in that frame and joined in several national and international juries, commissions and working programs.

Deniz also served at many administrative positions and was assigned for several responsibilities at her university and at the Chamber of Architects of Turkey and UIA. In the national and international platforms she worked as; permanent jury member of the ‘Global Award for Sustainable Architecture’, (2018-…), vice president, Region II of UIA (2011-2017), council member, Region II of (2009-2011) UIA, member of the UNESCO-UIA Education Commission and Validation Council (2009-…), president of the Chamber of Architects of İstanbul Metropolitan Branch (2010-2014), president of the Chamber of Architects of Turkey (CAT), (2020-2022), editor of the Architectural Journal (mimar.ist) Chamber of Architects of Turkey, İstanbul Metropolitan Branch (2006-…).
