As a lecturer and researcher with physical disability, my research explores the link between architecture and disability with an insider’s perspective. My observation reveals that this topic is under researched and there has been a lack of participation of people with lived experience in research on accessibility. The needs of people with disabilities are largely ignored in building design and infrastructure development. Focusing on the field of architecture and Environment Behaviour Study (EBS), Inclusive Design and Universal Design, I have actively involved in various collaborative research projects both nationally and internationally.
