Ishtiaque Zahir Titas, a practicing architect from Bangladesh, is the 1st Vice president and the Board member of the International Union of Architects (UIA) from Region IV. He is the fellow of IAB, also the Honorary fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
He is the Co-founder of the architecture practice VITTI. His architecture & urban design practice won national and international recognition in the past 3 decades. Designing sustainability through participatory process and designing public spaces are his key points of interest. He believes that sustainability should be the core of all development works and architecture should focus more on research and innovation. He is the current adviser of UIA SDG Commission and former Co-chair of PCG Professionals, World Urban Campaign WUC, an initiative of UN Habitat.
