Jos Boys

Co-Founder & Co-Director, The DisOrdinary Architecture Project

Dr. Jos Boys is co-founder and co-director, with Zoe Partington, of UK-based The DisOrdinary Architecture Project which brings disabled artists into built environment education and practice to critically and creatively re-think access and inclusion. With a background in architecture, she has also been a journalist, researcher, consultant, educator and photographer; and has published several books, including Doing Disability Differently: an alternative handbook on architecture, dis/ability, and designing for everyday life (Routledge 2014) and Disability, Space, Architecture: A Reader (Routledge 2017).

Jos is currently Guest Professor at the Royal Danish Academy, Copenhagen with a remit to co-explore embedding inclusive design into architectural education and practice, funded by the Bevica Foundation.
