McGowan is artistic leader of Stedets Væsen [Being of Place] at NXT. Her latest article on Radical Softness was published in PARSE and McGowan’s work has been presented at places such as Charlottenborg Kunsthal, Yale University, British Film Institute (BFI), ARoS, Billboard Istanbul, Trinity College Dublin, and the National Museum of Denmark.
McGowan is currently leading The Garden Caretaker project as part of DESIRE and The New European Bauhaus and together with Sort/Hvid Theatre McGowan is creating a large-scale landscape installation, Solastalgia, supported by the Danish Arts Council.
