Professor Sir Partha Dasgupta is Frank Ramsey Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of Cambridge and Fellow of St John’s College, Cambridge.

Professor Dasgupta’s research interests have covered welfare and development economics, the economics of technological change, population, environmental and resource economics, the theory of games, the economics of undernutrition, and the economics of social capital.

At Spring Statement 2019, the UK Government commissioned Professor Dasgupta to lead an independent, global review on the economics of biodiversity. The Economics of Biodiversity: The Dasgupta Review was published on 2 February 2021.
