Peter Andreas Sattrup

Senior Consultant, Danish Association of Architectural Firms

Peter Andreas is a sustainability advocate and strategist with the Danish Association of Architectural Firms. He works to change policies, frameworks and conditions surrounding the practice of architecture by documenting and communicating the value architectural programming, planning and design can create to clients, users and society. He helps architectural firms develop new business models, competencies and services based on his personal experience in practice, education, innovation and research that enable them to thrive in a changing business environment.

He argues that architects and architecture can play crucial roles in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals through imagination and co-creation of restorative and regenerative practices for societal development within the planetary boundaries. Peter Andreas is one of the driving forces behind the “Designing the Irresistible Circular Society” lighthouse demonstrator project of the New European Bauhaus, and received the Nykredit Honorary Prize in 2019 for his work on documenting and communicating the value of architecture.
