Peter Hinsby Leal

Peter Hinsby Leal is trained in the History of Ideas specializing in how spatial organizations of society are directed by and directing infectious diseases.

Peter is a PhD student working on the topic of architecture and emergency response. As a researcher in the field of historical ontology Peter is considering how pressures such as pandemic diseases are not only external threats to be managed, but also constituted by expert knowledge and the governmental practices that seek to know and control them. He is co-founder and part of the initiation of the Architecture and Health hub at the Royal Danish Academy based on the believe that preparedness efforts should be based on a broader interdisciplinary approach informed by a wider range of expertise considering the entangled balance of control and care.
