Sif Holst

Vice Chair, Disabled People's Organizations Denmark

Sif Holst is Vice-chair of Disabled People’s Organizations Denmark, a board member on the Danish Institute for Human Rights, and a member of the European Economic and Social Committee.

Sif believes we must change perception and see disability issues as something that affects us all. Some of us have a disability or a close relative or a colleague with a disability. It might be temporary: a sports injury or a depression or something you were born with. But it is also a question of recognizing the strength of diversity and recognizing that tools such as universal design can make life easier for everyone.

Sif believes that together we can make a change – international institutions, governments, civil society, and the individual – and ensure that no one is left behind.
