Stepan Bärtl

Director, CAMP – Center for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning

Stepan Bärtl is the director and co-founder of the Center for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning (CAMP), a multimedia gallery and an urban-planning hotspot in Prague. Since opening in 2017, CAMP has become a meeting place for architects, planners and citizens, a hub for discussing the future of the built environment. While CAMP offers a diverse programme of public lectures, workshops, film screenings and other activities, at its core is an exhibition space that includes a 25-metre wide projection screen for a unique simulation of the city environment.

Since 2015, Stepan has been working for the Prague Institute of Planning and Development as a PR specialist, communicating city-planning and urban design to general public. He holds a degree in European Studies from the Charles University and in Economic Growth, Innovation, and Spatial Dynamics from Lunds Universitet in Sweden.

Stepan is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Architecture Organizations (AAO).
