Susan Carruth is a Partner at GXN innovation, and an architect and researcher, with almost 20 years of experience across practice and academia. Originally from Scotland, she practiced as an architect in London for 9 years, before relocating to Denmark in 2012 to start her PhD in social and cultural sustainability, which she completed in 2015.
Since then, Susan has worked to bridge research and practice, first with White arkitekter and since 2018 with GXN. Her role at GXN includes research, consultancy, teaching and project management, with a particular focus on behavioural design, where she draws on environmental psychology, futurology, and post-occupancy evaluations to join the dots between a healthy planet and human well-being. In addition, she is responsible for day-to-day resourcing and the managment of operations.
