Rethinking Resources

Tour the borough of Amager, visiting a handful of sites, which have been profiled or awarded by the RENOVER prize, for their re-configuration as housing and office communities. The tour will make its way around:

  • Konstabelskolen [Youth Housing], a transformation of former military constabulary school into youth housing
  • Siljansgade [Co-living & Co-Working], a transformation of a defunct industrial complex into a forward thinking co-living and co-working space

Hear from stakeholders and experts on what makes these noteworthy examples of adaptive reuse helping to rebalancing spaces for work & life in the context of a borough of Copenhagen.

Dress for a bit of walking and the summer weather of the North which can shift between sun and rain.

Transfer to destinations will be by tour bus. Tours involve a bit of walking when on site, on sidewalks, crossing curbs, a few steps along the way.

Wheelchairs and walkers can be accommodated. Service animals are welcome.

Air quality general good, but may be impacted by pollen season: i.e. grass pollen.

Enjoy the long summer days and short summer nights.

It’s possible to bring your service dog along on bus and boats.
