Rethinking Resources in the City Center

Stroll through the inner city, seeing a number of brutal and imposing structures, which have been profiled and awarded by RENOVER prize, for their re-adaption and repurposing into hotels, commercial and office spaces.

The tour will make its way around:

  • NH Collection Hotel – former brutalist office building, also known as the desert fortress, now an inviting five star hotel
  • Hotel The Socialist (formerly Hotel Herman K) – former totally closed structure housing a transformer station now a boutique hotel and restaurant
  • Postgården – former city center post office – transformed into a commercial space both with shops below and innovative office space above

Hear from stakeholders and experts on what makes these noteworthy examples of adaptive reuse and repurposing of structures in the inner city of Copenhagen opening them up for much more urban life and interaction.
