PLAN YOUR VISIT
Do you have your ticket for the UIA World Congress of Architects CPH 2023? (If not, hurry up!). If you do, please note that we have selected a wide range of options and good deals for accommodation; lots of hotels in different categories, 15% on hostels and the “archistay-initiative” .

TRAVEL PASS
You can now buy a discounted travel pass! Get unlimited travel in the Capital region both day and night in metro, train and bus including to and from the airport with an 78% discount. The Travel Pass must be valid for at least 2 consecutive days. Upon purchase, the Travel Pass ticket is delivered to the participant as a PDF document via email and can simply be shown digitally on your smartphone or be printed before arrival. Simple and easy.
EXAMPLE: . One way tickets can cost between 3-5 euros, depending on how many zones you travel. If you buy a 2-day travel pass , the travel pass will cost less than 10 euros. You can buy as many days as you need, but no more than 10 days.
ATT: You can only buy a Travel Pass in the period June 30th to July 10th.

Registration fees include:
- access to the entire congress programme
- the congress exhibition
- entry to DAC, THE DANISH ARCHITECTURE CENTER
Please note that lunch is not included but will be available for purchase (vegetarian meals only). For now, you can only register for the UIA World Congress of Architects CPH 2023. We will notice you when it’s time to register for more events, tours etc. Stay tuned!
If you are interested in registering more than 10 participants, please contact uia2023@cap-partner.eu and include the following information:
- How many participants you wish to register and which type(s) (Delegate 450 EUR per participant or Student 70 EUR per participant)
- Invoice address and VAT no (if relevant)
Once we have received the information above, we will send you an invoice and when this is paid, you will receive a payment receipt. You will also receive further information on how the participants you wish to invite can register all their details using the ticket already purchased by you.

*Student ticket: If you are currently studying (including PhD) or graduated in July 2022 or later, you can buy a student ticket.
*Accompanying person: When you register as a delegate/student, you may add 1 accompanying person (i.e. your partner/spouse). Accompanying persons have access to the congress venue, exhibition area, poster area and the ceremonies held on the last day of the congress (6 July).
Access to the congress dinner should be purchased separately.
Accompanying persons do not have access to the programmed sessions (except for the ceremonies on 6 July).

Please apply for a visa at least two months before the congress as the application process may take up to 8 weeks. You can apply for your visa six months prior your arrival.
Important: If a participant’s application for a visa is refused, the congress secretariat will refund the paid registration fees only when a copy of the refusal letter is received
Invitation letters
Individuals requiring an official letter of invitation in order to obtain a visa shall inform the secretariat about this via the online registration system. Please have your passport number ready.
Please note that official letters of invitation can only be given to individuals who have registered and paid the registration fee for the congress.
Please note that the congress secretariat cannot fill out the application for you, but only provide an invitation letter.

Which visa to apply for
When attending a scientific event such as the UIA World Congress of Architects CPH 2023, you should apply for short term visa to “cultural visits”.

Before applying
Please check the visa application centre, VFS’ website for available appointments before submitting your online visa application on this website.
You might have to wait several weeks for an appointment, if the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark requires you to make an appointment with a visa application centre in your country.
Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellations must be sent in writing to uia2023@cap-partner.eu
Refund of registration fees will be granted as follows:
- Received on or before May 15th, 2023: a processing fee of 45€ per cancellation will be charged.
- After May 15th, 2023:No refund
- Refunds by bank transfer or to a credit card will be processed after the congress. No refunds will be granted in case of no show.
- Cancellation of dinner tickets can be refunded until June 15th, 2023. Hereafter no refund of dinner tickets.
If for reasons beyond the control of the organizer, the congress is cancelled, the registration fee will be refunded after deduction of expenses incurred by the congress.
Name changes
Name changes are not possible after June 15th, 2023. Name changes should be advised in writing to uia2023@cap-partner.eu and a fee of 30€ will be charged per name change.
Payment
Payment is possible by invoice (bank transfer), credit card (Master or VISA), or EAN invoicing. Upon completion of the registration, an automated email confirmation will be sent. Depending on the method of payment, the invoice or credit card receipt will be attached. The PDF is an original and the only copy you will receive.
Registration fees will be charged in Euro (€) (VAT exempt). Add-ons can be subject to 25% VAT. The UIA 2023 World Congress is registered under the congress secretariat VAT number 34599963. It is required that we charge local VAT. The reverse charge mechanism does not apply.

Full pre-payment is required. Payment is accepted by Visa or Mastercard through the online portal at time of booking or by bank transfer (invoice). Payment is due within 7 days of booking. Bookings may be released if payment is not received. All rates are in DKK per room per night, including breakfast and 25% VAT.
