Start the day with a yoga session at Ofelia Plads by Lundgaard & Tranberg. We meet at 7.30 am with Lundgaard & Tranberg Arkitekter, who introduce us to the project before a yoga instructor takes us through a few yoga exercises in beautiful and meditative surroundings.  

What does the city of the future look like? Should there be slides instead of roads? More skyscrapers and parks? Or should we build on the water? Come and build the city of the future as a LEGO® architect!

To celebrate the release of the book “The Nordic Window” Prof. Tsukamoto (Atelier Bow-Wow) takes you on a tour to visit Munkegaard school, Bagsværd Church and VILLUM Window Collection, and the two special exhibitions “Windowology” by Window Research Institute and “Wall of Windows” by Rem Koolhaas.

The participants will explore how old industrial buildings have been restored and transformed with new architectural elements and add-ons. Walking through the area there will be an experience of seeing new buildings mixed with historical industrial buildings, in a new context with interesting architecture.

You will see different examples on protection of historic buildings, innovative green and blue areas, and sustainable transport is used to develop new city areas for all.

Join us for a conversation with Rob Adams, City Architect of Melbourne on how to urbanise in harmony with nature and create more liveable, people-oriented cities. Lyngby is situated 20 min. by train from Copenhagen Central.

Gain insights into Ørestad as a new urban area and learn how urban development contributes to making sustainable efforts in city environments using the DGNB certification system. The exhibition ‘The Housing Lab’ will show seven different approaches to new ways of living, which will stand as 1:1 examples within the next few years as part of the initiative The Housing Lab.

Join us on a guided bicycle tour from Bella Center to downtown Copenhagen and become familiar with Copenhagen’s renowned bicycling culture and infrastructure. On the guided tour you will be presented to architectural landmarks that accommodate active mobility into the design of a green, liveable and connected city.

The participants will get an insight in the planning principles behind the development of the new urban district, Ørestad, which has developed over the last thirty years. The metro line is the nerve through the district, which stretches about five kilometers from north to south.
