Loïc Daubas

Architect, Co-Founder of the Belenfant & Daubas studio

Trained as an architect in Nantes, he has been teaching architectural design at ensa Nantes since 2004 (Master’s degree in “Patrimoine en devenir” and Licence 1). Loïc Daubas has been co-manager of the Belenfant-Daubas studio since 1998. National winner of the Citizen Project Award (UNSFA – Ministry of Culture) in 2010 for the “Ecol’eau” public school. The prize was awarded in recognition of the project’s commitment to users and its environmental approach. This school was the agency’s first project to integrate raw earth (nearly 70 tons) into its buildings. Atelier Belenfant Daubas’ projects have won awards at departmental (CAUE public prize), regional and national (palmarès bois et construction terre crue, Asterre) levels.

Teaching: Since 2014 in Licence 2 then Master 1 and 2. Coordinates HMONP training. Research topics: member of GRIEF; participates in research initiatives on the use of resources with low environmental impact, in particular the Projet National Terre (French Ministry of Ecological Transition) as coordinator of the “Sustainability” axis.
