Giuseppe Cappochin

Head of Department, National Council of Italian Architects, Urban planning, Reform and Future of The Cities

Giuseppe Cappochin founded his own firm, “Atelier Cappochin”, in 1983, dealing with architectural design and large-scale planning, implementation planning, public-private agreements.

He is president of Barbara Cappochin Foundation, founded in 2003. The Foundation seeks to promote the development of quality architecture worldwide by launching a Biennial International Prize for Architecture which is open to participants from all over the world. The Foundation also curated architecture exhibitions of world-renowned architects at Palazzo della Ragione, Padua, including Mario Botta, David Chipperfield, Kengo Kuma, Zaha Hadid, Michele de Lucchi and Renzo Piano.

He’s a member of the National Council of Italian Architects, Planners, Landscapers and Conservators (CNAPPC), President from 2016 to 2021.
