Kim Lenschow is the founder of Office Kim Lenschow, an architecture office aiming to create personally engaging spaces that shape critical thinking. Through architecture and design, the firm seeks to reveal and challenge ingrained values, beliefs, and material narratives in established building practices and ways of life. Apart from his practice, Kim holds an artistic research position at the Royal Danish Academy.
He received his graduate degree from the Royal Danish Academy. For many years he directed the office Lenschow & Pihlmann together with Søren Pihlmann with whom he has won numerous grants and honorable prizes for their work: The Danish Arts Foundation, the Danish Wood Award, The Henning Larsen Foundation Award amongst others. The work of Kim Lenschow Office is wide-ranging, investigating the poetics of details and materiality, the properties of materials, joints, and expressions with a clear ambition that the projects can mean more to many by also being part of an academic and communication-oriented space.
