Pelle Munch-Petersen is Associate Professor at the Royal Danish Academy, CINARK – Center for Industrial Architecture. Architectural value and ecology are his primary research interests, focusing on the construction and aesthetics of ecology in architecture to gain insights into what an architecture aligned with the ‘planetary boundaries’ can be like. On the basis of his Ph.D. thesis ‘Circular Facade Design – The Tectonics of Circular Economy’ the research takes a practical – hands-on – approach where circular/ ecological design strategies are put to the test.
He has a background in architectural practice with 10 years in the office Henning Larsen and have worked in all scales – from large-scale hospitals and masterplans to single-family houses.
