About the Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction

The Holcim Foundation is a non-profit organization, dedicated to accelerating the global movement for sustainable design and construction. It was created in 2003 to raise awareness on the important role that architecture, engineering, and construction have in sustaining our human-made habitat for current and future generations.

The Foundation is committed to accelerating the sustainable transformation of the construction sector by supporting the transfer of ideas and best practices across regions and across generations. It conducts international Awards competitions and curates events that aim to spark, interrogate and promote the most promising solutions for sustainable construction.
