Qazi M. Arif

Qazi M. Arif, a fellow at the Institute of Architects Bangladesh, is in practice and pedagogy for the last 3 decades. Having a Bachelor in Architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), he has an M. Arch from the School of Architecture and Environmental Design of Kent State University, USA, where he was awarded the Outstanding International Scholar in 1997.

Ar. Arif is the Principal of ENVISION since 1999. Notable Projects include International Hockey Stadium and an Indoor Stadium built in Goa, India.

Ar. Arif has curated 1st. GREEN AsiARCH, ACGSA Exhibition on Green and Sustainable Practice held in Hong Kong in 2016. He has authored number of technical research papers and has lectured in many national and international congress & conferences. He is the Executive Editor of VERNACULAR WISDOM: ASIA, an ARCASIA Publication in 2022. His primary areas of interest are Environment, Ecology, Equity, Green and Sustainability in Architecture. He is also a Jury of Design Competitions e.g. Forest City Landmark Architecture International Design Competition in Shanghai and Dhaka North City Corporation Head Quarters in Dhaka.
