The professional life of Yolanda David Reyes is described as meaningful, wonderful and purpose driven journey towards self-actualization and public spiritedness.

She has led distinguished careers as a private practioner, academician, philanthropist, public official and international leader spanning almost five decades. She was Dean of University of Santo Thomas College of Architecture and Fine Arts, Chairman of the Technical Panel in Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Planning and Fine Arts Education of the Commission of Higher Education. She, together with her husband Romulo Reyes, is active in professional practice and has various projects located in the Philippines, Malaysia and Oman. She was appointed Commissioner of the Professional Regulation Commission, the government agency which license and regulates the professionals all over the Philippines.

She is a world leader as Chairman of Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA), Eastern Regional Organization for Planning and Human Settlements (EAROPH), Chairman, Apec Central Council, Chairman, Asean Central Monioring Committee, Council Member and Vice President for Region 4, Union Internationale des Architectes, as well as having served her own architects institution, the United Architects of the Philippines, as its National President. She was founder of the YDR Scholarship Foundation.
