Bernadette Egan is an architect and human rights advocate with over twenty years of extensive international experience on a diverse range of private and public sector projects. She holds a Master of Laws degree in International and Comparative Disability Law and Policy, has conducted legal research for the Committee of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and is currently researching ‘An Investigation into Human Rights, the Built Environment and Architectural Education.’
She believes that architects are responsible for providing an accessible built environment as a collective good that benefits all, leaving no one behind, and advocates that ‘Designing for Diversity is simply Designing for Equality’.
