Louise Kielgast

Director, Anthropologist, Gehl

As a director, Louise is passionate about the human and social tissues in cities and how to apply a people-driven strategic approach to the development of urban environments. She has over the years worked with a broad range of actors and professionals and is curious to explore how different perspectives can provide value and how collaboration can be strengthened in processes of change.

In recent years Louise has been leading Gehl’s strategic focus on creating thriving communities through a place-based approach to health, addressing issues such as air quality, early childhood and foodscapes. With degrees in social anthropology and urban development planning, she focuses on health through the lens of people’s everyday experiences within different cultural and political contexts.
