Anne Marie Galmstrup

Director, Galmstrup Architects

Anne Marie is a practicing architect specialised in cultural and community projects. Her practice’s work revolves around the civic sphere varying in scale from new build and transformation of museums, galleries, visitor centres and community spaces, to strategic masterplans of UNESCO heritage sites and entire landscapes.

Her strengths are in visioning and crafting original design concepts driven from a place’s context and culture, collection and communities. She has a strong strategic approach combined with sensitive Scandinavian design flair. She graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture and was previous partner at Henning Larsen Architects. She is an active ICOM members and RIBA Client Advisor.

Committed to community engagement, she established the non-profit organisation “Imaginations Cross Cultures” which co-create summer schools with young people – including the UIA Seoul 2017 Summer School and the UIA Rio 2020 Student Sprint.
